Well the Executive Course wasn't all that bad. There were no windmills.

As we drove our golfing-car around the course, I learned a thing or two about The Golf out there. I developed a new golfing strategy. Previously my strategy had been this:

  1. Hit the golfing-ball into the woods
  2. Go look for it

My new strategy is much better. I call it the "Stubby Phillips Strategy". It goes like this:

  1. Try to keep the golfing-ball on the fair-way

The fair-way is the grassy part of the golf course. I've discovered that the golfing-ball is much easier to find when it's on the grass.

Another thing I learned is that driving the golfing-car is almost as fun as whacking the golfing-ball with the golfing-stick.

Here is a reproduction of the scorecard from our first Executive Round:

Although these appear to be above-par, if not slightly impressive, scores, they are in fact not. Which brings us to the third thing I learned that day:

In the Golf, lower scores are better than higher ones.

This rule was not listed on the back of the scorecard. What IS listed is that golfing-cars are permitted only for seniors or those with disabilities.

I guess Starter at the Blue Nine phoned ahead.

The last thing I learned that day is perhaps the most important:

Take a couple dozen golfing-balls and pour them into the trunk of your car. Every time you start, stop, or turn a corner, they bumble around and make a pleasant noise.
